In a bid to familiarize youngsters with the realms of space science and technology, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has launched the ‘YUva VIgyani KAryakram 2024’ (YUVIKA) initiative, inviting registrations for an online program until March 20th.
This program, spanning from May 13th to 24th, will be conducted across seven centers including Thiruvananthapuram, Sriharikota, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Dehradun, and Shillong. It offers a platform for budding scientists to immerse themselves in scientific studies and practical applications.
When considering candidates for admission, ISRO evaluates various components:
During the training period, students will receive free accommodation, meals, study materials, and transportation to and from the center (by AC train or Volvo bus).
For detailed guidelines and registration instructions, visit the YUVIKA page on ISRO’s official website.
Embracing the spirit of innovation and exploration, ISRO’s YUVIKA program aims to instill a sense of curiosity and passion for space science among 9th-grade students. By offering free training in a wide array of disciplines including astronomy, technology, and hands-on experiments, ISRO nurtures the potential of young minds, preparing them for future endeavors in the field of space research.
One of the notable aspects of the program is its inclusive nature. By providing opportunities for students from various educational backgrounds and regions, ISRO ensures that talent knows no bounds. Whether from rural or urban areas, every aspiring scientist has the chance to participate and contribute to India’s space exploration journey.
Education is the cornerstone of progress, and ISRO’s commitment to empowering youth through knowledge is evident in initiatives like YUVIKA. By equipping students with valuable skills and insights, ISRO not only enriches their academic journey but also fuels their aspirations to reach for the stars, quite literally.
In essence, ISRO’s YUVIKA program represents a beacon of hope and opportunity for young minds eager to explore the wonders of space. By offering free training and fostering a culture of scientific inquiry, ISRO paves the way for a future where India’s contributions to space exploration know no bounds.
